stabilisers , suitable for most 12–18-inchkids' bikes. Extra-large 135 x 40 mm wheels with a rubber tread, a sturdy steel strut, and a plastic rim.

Check before purchasing: At least 10 mm of free axle length is required on each side of the rear axle. Not intended for kids' bikes with derailleur or hub gears. Wheel size and mounting must be compatible.

EXTRA-LARGE stabilisers: 135 x 40 MM

With a diameter of approximately 135 mm and a width of 40 mm, these PROMETHEUS BIKES stabilisers are significantly larger and wider than many classic balance bikes. The wide base provides stable support while also giving the bike a distinctive look at kids' bike.

RUBBER-COATED ROLLERS FOR A SMOOTH, QUIET RIDE

The wheels are rubber-coated. This reduces the loud plastic noise when rolling and makes the bike easy to ride on suitable, level surfaces.

A STURDY COMBINATION OF STEEL AND PLASTIC

Sturdy steel struts provide structural support, while the wheels feature solid plastic rims. The result is a robust, everyday-ready combination perfect for a child’s first attempts at riding.

UNIVERSAL FOR MOST 12–18-INCH—kids' bikes

Suitable for most kids' bikes with 12-, 14-, 16-, or 18-inch wheels. The stabilisers are individually adjustable and mount to the rear axle.

IMPORTANT: CHECK THE REAR AXLE FIRST

For installation, at least 10 mm of free axle length is required on each side of the rear axle. Please measure this at kids' bike before ordering to ensure there is sufficient space for mounting.

Safety and Care

ATTENTION: The PROMETHEUS BIKES stabilisers are intended exclusively as a learning aid for suitable kids' bikes with wheel sizes ranging from 12 to 18 inches. Assembly, adjustment, inspection, and tightening of the fasteners must be performed by an adult.

Installation must be performed exclusively on the rear wheel axle of the children’s bicycle. There must be at least 10 mm of free axle length on each side so that the stabilisers can be securely fastened. Before installation, check whether the rear wheel axle, frame , and existing mounting points on the respective children’s bicycle are suitable for installation.

The stabilisers must be fully installed in accordance with the installation instructions. The supplied mounting and securing parts must be correctly installed, and all screws and nuts must be sufficiently tightened.

The stabilisers must then be correctly adjusted. On a level surface, the rear wheel and one stabiliser should touch the ground; the opposite stabiliser should be about 10 mm above the ground. If this adjustment is not achieved, the position of the metal struts must be corrected before use.

Before the first use and before each subsequent ride, check all wheels, metal struts, screws, nuts, lock washers, and axle fasteners for correct installation, tightness, wear, and damage. Tighten any loose connections before use.

Do not use if the wheels, struts, screws, nuts, or other fasteners are damaged, bent, loose, severely worn, or otherwise impaired in their function. Do not make any unauthorized modifications to the training wheels, struts, or fasteners.

The installation of stabilisers alters the bike’s riding, steering, and—in particular—cornering behavior. The child must first become familiar with the changed handling on a flat, unobstructed, and traffic-free surface. stabilisers do not replace the necessary supervision by an adult.

Use only on flat and suitable surfaces. Uneven surfaces, steep slopes, curbs, obstacles, or unsuitable terrain can compromise stability.

Before each use, ensure that the rear wheel spins freely and that the brakes, steering, and other safety-related bicycle components are functioning properly.

Store in a dry, clean place protected from the elements. Allow to dry completely after contact with moisture. Check regularly for corrosion and wear; replace damaged parts.

Manufacturer's Warranty

In addition to the statutory warranty, PCB Bikes International Vertriebs GmbH provides a limited warranty valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover wear-and-tear parts or damage resulting from improper assembly, use, overloading, or other misuse. Statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this provision.
